The TimeFlies YouTube Channel showcases breathtaking timelapse and drone photography of Chris Sloan’s travels worldwide. TimeFlies in Key West is a 13-part video celebration of America’s Southernmost City and The Lower Florida Keys. Captured in gorgeous, timelapse photography from the air, land, and sea, TimeFlies is a visual pastiche of The Rock organized by neighborhoods, parts of the island, and surrounding areas from Stock Island to Key Haven from the well-known to the off-the-beaten paths. The series was shot and edited over nearly five years, from 2020 to 2025, covering the entire island. The series streams on YouTube and will soon be the center of an interactive physical exhibition.

Time Flies in Key West
Even on island time, time doesn’t stand still. History is created every day. The series was shot and edited over nearly five years. Even during that time, much has changed. The project aims to document and preserve Key West “The Way It Is” now between 2020 and 2024 for “The Way It Was” in the future as a permanent time capsule. Whether the viewer is a local, an aspiring local, a fan, or a former Key Wester whose heart is still in The Conch Republic, TimeFlies In Key West packs a lot of spectacular Conchtastic imagery that exists on this four square mile island and The Lower Keys. It’s a comprehensive, fun, and fast-paced series designed to be binged all at once or snacked on in individual pieces.
