Programming, Production and Marketing Executive / Creative

Chris Sloan is a seasoned media executive with extensive experience in the production and development of TV programming. He began his career at NBC Entertainment where he served as Creative Director, contributing to the network’s “Must-See TV” era and helping to launch popular shows like “Friends,” “Frasier,” and “ER.” Later, Chris held senior executive positions at USA Network and Discovery Networks, where he oversaw the production and marketing of reality series and specials.

Additionally, at Barry Diller’s WAMI-TV & USA Broadcasting, he led a team of 20 award-winning creatives responsible for marketing and promotion efforts for a group of 12 television stations. Throughout his career, Chris has proven to be a visionary leader with a passion for developing innovative content.

Discovery Networks (2003-2004)

As VP/Production, Chris oversaw production for TLC’s 800+ hours of programming and a staff of 21.

USA Network (2000-2002)

As SVP of Reality Programming, Chris ran the development and production of all reality series and specials.

Barry Diller’s Groundbreaking WAMI-TV & USA Broadcasting (1997 – 2000)

As SVP/Marketing & Promotion, Chris oversaw all marketing and promotion efforts on-air and off-air and an award-winning creative staff of 20 for a group of 12 television stations.

NBC Entertainment (1992-1997)

After being elevated to Creative Director in 1994, Chris was one of the founding team of NBC’s branding and special projects “promotainment” NBC-2000 department at NBC, which pioneered seamless programming and split-screen credits with entertainment content. He contributed to the network’s “Must-See TV” era of programming, including launches of “Friends,” “Frasier,” and “ER.” Chris was NBC’s first preditor (producer/editor).
